OTR 2 Version 1.4.1 Update – Custom Graphics, Police Equipment and a New Helicopter

OTR 2 Version 1.4.1 Update – Custom Graphics, Police Equipment and a New Helicopter

A good off-road driving experience depends on more than the vehicle you choose. Visual settings, vehicle controls, rewards, and the equipment available on the road can all change how the game feels. The latest OTR 2 – Offroad Simulator 1.4.1 update brings improvements and new additions across several of these areas.

Developed by DogByte Games, OTR 2 has received a collection of changes in this release. Here is a closer look at what has been added and adjusted.

Take More Control Over Graphics

One of the useful additions is a new Custom GFX details section. Players can now adjust three graphics options separately:

  • Draw Distance: Controls how far objects and scenery are displayed.

  • Grass Density: Lets you change the amount of grass visible in the environment.

  • Particle Density: Provides a separate setting for the density of visual particle effects.

Having individual controls gives players more flexibility when adjusting the game's visual settings. Rather than changing one general graphics option, you can experiment with these settings independently to find a suitable balance for your device.

The update does not promise a specific FPS increase, since performance will still depend on your phone or tablet.

New Sounds and Police Equipment

Version 1.4.1 introduces car horns, adding another sound feature to vehicle driving.

The update also adds police sirens and lightbars. These additions bring police-style audio and lighting equipment into the game, giving players more options to explore when using the relevant vehicles or equipment.

Meet the Skylark Tonbo Helicopter

A new aircraft has also arrived: the Skylark Tonbo helicopter.

According to the available update notes, players can unlock it for free after reaching level 10. This makes it an interesting addition for players who enjoy exploring the open world from the air instead of staying on the roads.

Check the vehicle or unlock menu in your game to see its availability.

Better Rewards From Card Packs

There is another change for players collecting vehicle blueprints. The amount of vehicle blueprint rewards obtained from Card Packs has been significantly increased.

This should make opening Card Packs more rewarding for players working towards additional vehicles. However, the update notes do not provide a specific percentage or exact number of extra blueprints, so the actual reward shown in the game is the best reference.

Vehicle Visuals and Handling Adjustments

The developers have also addressed some existing vehicle issues:

  • The Steelback XL500 received a fix for its LOD fade issue.

  • The Maximus received the same type of LOD fade correction.

  • The Cabrera received small handling adjustments.

LOD, or Level of Detail, relates to how a vehicle's visual model changes with viewing distance. Fixing a fade issue can help correct unwanted visual transitions. The Cabrera adjustments are described as small handling tweaks, rather than a complete driving overhaul.

Halloween Event: Collect Candies

Version 1.4.1 also introduces a limited-time Halloween event. Players can collect candies and use the event to unlock exclusive items.

The update notes say the event starts three days before Halloween. Since Halloween falls on October 31, 2026, that timing points to an October 28 start. Check the in-game event screen for the current availability and rewards.

This gives players a seasonal activity to explore alongside the regular driving and vehicle collection features.
